Trick-or-Treat Weekend at Lyndhurst

On Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th, 2026, Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown invites families to a festive weekend of trick-or-treating across its historic 67-acre landscape. Kids and grown-ups alike are encouraged to wear costumes and hunt for candy at special stops throughout the grounds (bring your own treat bag!).
For an extra dose of Gilded Age atmosphere, guests can add on entry to the Mansion itself for “Roam on Your Own” — one of Lyndhurst’s most popular fall events. Visitors can explore the seasonally decorated historic home at their own pace via timed entry, with tour guides stationed throughout to answer questions (last entry at 4pm daily). Grounds passes start at $15 for general admission with kids under 12 free, while combined Grounds & Mansion tickets range from $5 (EBT/SNAP) to $30. Tickets are non-refundable, and this event tends to sell out, so advance purchase is recommended.
