There is food enough in and around the Hollow to satisfy even that legendary eater, Ichabod Crane, and an interesting mix of cuisines: Italian, Greek, Mexican, Indian, French, Portuguese, Irish, Japanese, Dominican, Chinese, Ecuadorian, Moroccan, Chilean.

Coffee & Tea

Coffee Labs Roasters, 7 Main Street, Tarrytown, NY 10591, 914-332-1479. Canine-themed coffee house roasts its own beans. The Seattle Siren has nothing on our local brew, stop in for the freshest beans around.

Dunkin’ Donuts, 137 Wildey Street, Tarrytown, 914-631-0313. In the Walgreens shopping plaza. America Runs on Dunkin’. Open early and late.

Mint Premium Foods, 19 Main Street, Tarrytown, 914-703-6511. Coffee, cappuccino, espresso, tea, home made hot chocolate.

Muddy Water Coffee & Cafe, 52 Main Street, Tarrytown, 914-909-2826. Organic, fair-trade coffee and espresso drinks, baked goods.

Pastry Chef, 57 North Broadway, Tarrytown, NY, 914-631-6556. Coffee, cappuccino, espresso and freshly baked treats!

Lunch

Croqueteria, 166 Cortlandt Street, Sleepy Hollow, 315-320-5215. Soups, salads, sweet and savory croquettes, and as it says on the storefront awning, "Home of the Real Cuban Sandwich"!

Lefteris Gyro, 1 North Broadway, Tarrytown, 914-524-9687. Sandwiches and soups, Greek specialties. Small indoor seating area is supplemented by sidewalk seating in good weather. There’s good reason for the lines out the door . . . the food! Open 7 days.

Mint Premium Foods, 19 Main Street, Tarrytown, 914-703-6511. Don’t miss this gourmet food shop. The cuisine defies categorization—it’s mouthwateringly global. Eat-in or take-out.

Pik Nik BBQ, 45 Main Street, Tarrytown, 914-631-5600. Smoked meat with lots of delicious sides! Eat-in or take-out.

Santorini Greek Restaurant, 175 Valley Street, Sleepy Hollow, 914-631-4300. Greek specialties to warm your heart and stick to your ribs.

Taste of China, 17 Main Street, Tarrytown, 914-332-1625. Eat-in (limited seating) or take-out. Open late on weekends. Popular restaurant offers a variety of regional styles, including vegetarian fare.

Dinner

Bistro 12, 12 Main Street, Tarrytown, 914-909-2770. Serving up Mediterranean cuisine, showing influences from Italy, France, and the co-owner’s native Portugal.

Bridge View Tavern, 226 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, 914-332-0078. Comfort and pub food, often with a creative twist. At least 15 beers on tap with an emphasis on craft and regional brews, including the local Captain Lawrence. Order up a beer flight to sample the best on tap. The seasonal outdoor beer garden features a completely different set of draft beers as well as a special menu.

The Cube Inn, 22 Main Street, Tarrytown, NY 10591, 914-372-7974. Tra­di­tional Cuban en­trees and meals, eclec­tic street food themed food nights and unique food of­fer­ings that change on a ro­tat­ing ba­sis.

Equus, 400 Benedict Avenue, Tarrytown, 914-631-3646. The hilltop castle offers stunning views of the Hudson Valley and the food is outstanding. Appropriate attire required. Breakfast and dinner daily, lunch Monday through Friday, brunch Saturday and Sunday. Closed as of Wednesday, June 10th, 2020.

Guadalajara, 2 Union Street, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510, 914-944-4380. Popular Mexican restaurant with potent margaritas, lunch and dinner 7 days. While you can get classic TexMex fare here, explore the menu for seasonal produce and seafood. Kitchen is open late in October!

Horsefeathers, 94 North Broadway, Tarrytown, 914-631-6606. Keep an eye out for Groucho, Harpo, and Chico. This local gathering spot has an extensive list of bottled beer, a range of wine, and sidewalk seating in season. Cozy bar area with pub tables, ample selection of finger food. Lunch and dinner.

Hudson Anchor Seafood & Grill, 222 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, 914-600-8123. Sea and land entrees in downtown Sleepy Hollow. In fair weather the roof deck offers views of the Hudson River and the Sleepy Hollow lighthouse. Lunch and dinner, weekend brunch.

Hudson Farmer & the Fish, 11 River Street, Sleepy Hollow, 914-631-8380. Superb views of the Hudson River. Menu features seasonal specialties from the restaurant’s own farm, along with a full raw bar, pizza, and seafood classics. Craft beer on tap, good selection of wines to complement the raw bar. Lunch and dinner.

J. P. Doyle’s Restaurant & Public House, 48 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, 914-631-3015. Come for the comfort food at this Irish pub in Sleepy Hollow’s business district, stay for the sporting events on 12 high-definition TVs. There’s an outdoor beer garden in warmer weather. It’s a short walk from Philipsburg Manor, the Old Dutch Church, and Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Lunch and dinner.

Osaka, 134 Wildey Street, Tarrytown, 914-631-8889. Japanese hibachi and sushi restaurant has popular all-you-can eat sushi lunches and dinners.

RiverMarket, 127 West Main Street, Tarrytown, 914-631-3100. American cuisine concentrating on locally sourced meats, vegetables, seafood and cheese. Lunch and dinner 7 days.

Swagat, 19 North Broadway, Tarrytown, 914-332-5544. Halal Indian eatery offers vegetarian, chicken, lamb, and goat. No alcohol served, guests may bring their own.

Sweetgrass Grill, 24 Main Street, Tarrytown, 914-631-0000. Sweetgrass brings to the table a wide array of seasonal and heirloom produce from about a dozen local farms. Casual dining, micro brews on tap and many wines by the glass.

Tarry Tavern, 27 Main Street, Tarrytown, 914-631-7227. Features regional and seasonal ingredients in a cozy, warmly appointed dining room. Craft brews on tap and a carefully crafted wine menu complement exquisitely prepared Hudson Valley meats and produce. Outdoor dining in season. Lunch and dinner.

Tboys Bistro, 31 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, 914-909-6151. Casual dining just a short walk from Philipsburg Manor, the Old Dutch Church, and Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.

Blue Hill at Stone Barns, 630 Bedford Road, Sleepy Hollow, 914-366-9600. The suburban incarnation of Dan Barber’s Greenwich Village (Manhattan) restaurant, Blue Hill is an upscale restaurant located inside the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture. Dinner Wednesday through Saturday from 5 pm to 10 pm, and on Sundays 1 pm to 7:30 pm. Appropriate attire required (jackets and ties for men). A less expensive, casual alternative is the adjacent Blue Hill Café and Grain Bar.

Sweets

Edible Arrangements, 95 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591, 914-594-5111. Fresh fruit smoothies, frozen yogurt fruit shakes, donuts, chocolate dipped fruit cone, and other delicious fresh fruit snacks!

Lighthouse Ice Cream and Coffee, 127 West Main Street, Tarrytown, 914-502-0339. Located on the west side of the railroad tracks near Tarrytown’s train station. Don’t let the coffee signs throw you, there’s superb home made gelato and sorbet behind the counter. Closed January 2021.

Los Andes Bakery, 180 Valley Street, Sleepy Hollow, 914-631-3256. Traditional Chilean pastries, confections, and bread. Also baked empanadas made from meat, cheese, and shellfish.

Main Street Sweets, 35 Main Street, Tarrytown, 914-332-5757. A favorite local dessert shop serves homemade ice cream, pies, cakes, cookies, and a variety of coffees.

Pastry Chef, 57 North Broadway, Tarrytown, 914-631-6556. Bakery, coffee, cappuccino, espresso, Italian ices.

Posh Pretzels, 7 North Broadway, Tarrytown, 914-332-0400. Hand-crafted, chocolate covered pretzels beautifully embellished with assorted mouthwatering toppings!

Yogurt Le Crêpe, 61A North Broadway, Tarrytown, 914-372-7037. Sweet and savory crêpes plus a delicious frozen yogurt selection.
