The village that invented American Halloween finally got a soundtrack.
For its third year, the Sleepy Hollow Music Festival takes over Kingsland Point Park on the first Saturday in October, opening the village’s Halloween season with a full day of live music on the banks of the Hudson. The programming leans hard into 90s nostalgia, the theming leans hard into Halloween.
Music runs from noon to 8 pm across two stages with no overlapping sets — a small scheduling decision that makes a real difference, since you’re never choosing between two bands you came to see.
The lineup
Main Stage: Everclear, the Smithereens featuring Marshall Crenshaw, Sophie B. Hawkins, Fastball, SoulShine: An Allman Brothers Experience, and Anthony Giaccio & the Assortments.
Regional Stage: Rachel Ana Dobken, Imposters, The Altogether, School of Rock Briarcliff Manor, and a DJ set of 90s favorites.
Halloween, all day
New for 2026, the festival goes fully seasonal: a costume parade, Halloween crafts, themed food and treats, and photo ops throughout the park. The Headless Horseman rides in front of the stage between sets — one of the few places you can photograph him with a band behind him. Come in costume; most people do.
Bringing children
This is a genuinely family-planned festival rather than a rock show that tolerates kids.
- Kids 12 and under are free with a ticketed adult, up to two per grownup.
- Entry and re-entry are allowed all day, which makes nap times and handoffs workable.
- The Kids’ Zone has sensory and soft play areas, an instrument petting zoo, lawn games, and inflatables.
Eating, drinking, shopping
More than a dozen food trucks covering everything from indulgent burgers to vegan fare. The Makers’ Market gathers 30+ craft and specialty vendors. Beer gardens offer beer and cider sampling, and the VIP Lounge has its own bar for anyone who’d rather not wait in line.
Getting there — read this part
There is no onsite parking, and parking near the festival is limited. Plan your arrival before you plan anything else.
- Free shuttle from Phelps Hospital. Parking there is free, the shuttle is free, and it runs 10:30 am to 10 pm, dropping at the Kingsland Point Park’s north entrance — the shortest walk into the grounds.
- Metro-North. Kingsland Point Park sits between two Hudson Line stations: Philipse Manor to the north, Tarrytown to the south. See our guide to visiting Sleepy Hollow without a car.
- Bikes welcome — bike parking is available on site.
