At the gateway to the Sparta Historic District stands The Jug Tavern, preserved as part of the oldest settlement in the Village of Ossining along the Hudson River. The Jug Tavern focuses on community engagement by providing architectural walking tours, a series of public lectures, educational materials and historic photography as part of its curriculum.
