Where the Legend Lives
The Headless Horseman statue is one of the most visited spots in Sleepy Hollow. Located in the Route 9 median between Philipsburg Manor restoration and the Old Dutch Church, this 18-foot tall sculpture of the Headless Horseman and Ichabod Crane is composed of 11 tons of steel panels, chemically treated to oxidize a rich cinnamon hue.
There’s something for everyone in Sleepy Hollow Country—farmers markets, live music, street fairs, historic homes, hiking trails, kayaking and boating on the Hudson River. Halloween season brings even more for the whole family—haunted hayrides, blazing pumpkins, costumed 10K run, Halloween parade, and of course, the Headless Horseman!
