Maucha Adnet • “Bossa Always Nova” features Helio Alves, Gili Lopes, Duduka Da Fonseca and special guest Harry Allen.
This wonderful tribute to Bossa Nova is led by the brilliant singer Maucha Adnet, vocalist with legendary composer Antonio Carlos Jobim’s group Banda Nova for 10 years.
Moving from Brazil to New York in the mid-1990s, Maucha worked with countless top musicians, including Wynton Marsalis and Randy Brecker, singing on Brecker’s Grammy Winning album Into The Sun. Like her longtime collaborators on this gig, including husband Duduka DaFonseca, the love of Bossa Nova remains unsurpassed.
“Adnet’s voice is an emotionally powerful instrument capable of firmness or fragility, depending on the situation.” – All About Jazz
