About the series

Jazz Forum Arts presents 32 free outdoor summer concerts across five regular venues along the Hudson River: Dobbs Ferry, Lyndhurst, Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow and Ossining, July 5th to August 25th, 6:30-8pm in all locations.
The performers include emerging and established artists, and groups ranging from trios and quartets to a full jazz orchestra.
JFA brings top quality, live jazz music to wide audiences throughout the New York metropolitan area and is committed to the appreciation and understanding of this distinctly American art form.
The Artists
The 2023 Sunset Jazz at Lyndhurst season features these talented performers backed by beautiful Hudson River sunsets!

Alicia Renee' aka Blue Eyes
New Orleans-based Alicia Renee brings her very personal style of vocals to every note.

Ark Ovrutski Quartet
The music of bandleader/composer/bassist Ark Ovrutski is all about celebration and the joy of playing jazz.

Aimée Allen
A superb jazz singer, Aimée Allen has long impressed audiences internationally with her great skill as an interpreter, songwriter and lyricist.

Harlem Blues & Jazz Band
For 50 years the Harlem Blues & Jazz Band has been a living tribute to America’s great art and musical tradition.

Monte Croft
Croft is a multi-instrumentalist (vibes, drums, keyboards, chromatic harmonica, bass and guitar) as well as a soulful vocalist.

John DiMartino Quartet
DiMartino has long been a first-call pianist on the New York Jazz scene.

Steve Nelson Quartet
Hailed for his inventiveness and fluid harmonic approach, vibraphonist Steve Nelson has flourished as both an accompanist and a bandleader.

Sãlongo
Sãlongo is the brain-child of trumpeter, composer, arranger & leader, Eddie Allen. This 7-piece Afro-Cuban/Brasilian group synthesizes the rhythmically diverse music of Central and South America.

The schedule
The grounds open at 4 pm, music begins at 6:30 pm. Bring blankets or low-profile lawn chairs. Picnicking is encouraged!
Lyndhurst has partnered with local caterer Geordane’s for preordered food and to-go snacks during each show. Wine will be available to purchase ahead of time from MySherry &more Inc ONLY alongside the purchase of food. Please let Geordane’s know that you have also ordered beverages when you place your picnic order. Jimmy’s Soft Serve will also be in attendance!
$10 per person grounds access fee. No charge for children under 10.
In the event of rain, cancellations will be posted by 2:00 p.m. on the day of each concert at https://lyndhurst.org and https://jazzforumarts.org. Always be prepared for a pop-up thunderstorm!

Sunset Jazz returns to the West Lawn of the gothic revival Lyndhurst mansion. Watch the sun set over the Hudson River while listening to top jazz performers!
