Taconic Opera begins its celebration of Beethoven this season by presenting his famous final symphony No. 9, “Ode to Joy,” accompanied by the soloists, chorus, and orchestra of the company.

n addition to this masterwork, the company will feature concert violinist, Sasha Yakub, as he performs Prokofiev’s execiting first violin concerto with the opera orchestra. The opera chorus will also perform the devilishly fast “Witches’ Sabbath” scene from Boito’s famous opera, Mefestofele.
