Stargazing in Rockefeller State Park Preserve

April 16 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

A photo of the night sky, promoting stargazing workshop at Rockefeller State Park Preserve.

Experience Sleepy Hollow after dark! Peer into the cosmos with Vinny Coulehan of the Rockland Astronomy Club. You will use a telescope to observe the quarter moon, as well as Orion, Jupiter, double star systems, and more!

Meet at the Rockefeller State Park Visitor’s Center courtyard. Bring water and a flashlight or headlamp with a red setting. Dress warmly and bring a lightweight folding chair if you are uncomfortable standing for 1.5 hours.

IMPORTANT: Group leaves promptly at scheduled times. This is a night hike, after the park has officially closed. Latecomers will not be able to join after the group has departed.
