A world-class bassist who has accompanied music royalty from Duke Ellington to Queen Latifah, pop superstars from Sinatra to Sting, and jazz giants from Roy Eldridge to Kenny Barron, Jay Leonhart has earned the moniker “The Fred Astaire of Jazz” for his effortless virtuosity and ultra-smooth craftsmanship.
He’s also a hilarious singer/songwriter and in this trio setting, he’ll deliver clever tunes that evoke great hip lyricists like Dave Frishberg, Oscar Brown Jr and Bob Dorough.
