Where the Legend Lives
The Rockefeller State Park Preserve is famous for its carriage roads and horses.
Take this unique opportunity to meet one of its mounted guardians, Anne Sumers, and her mare, Shining Star. Learn all about horses and how to interact with them. You’ll also have the chance to pet and brush Shining Star if you’d like!
This program is suitable for all ages. Parents/guardians must also reserve a ticket.
Meet at the Swan Lake kiosk at the intersection of Brother’s Path and Overlook Trail, a short walk from the Visitor’s Center. Please wear sun protection and bring water to drink.
No dogs please!
Max: 25 people.
