Where the Legend Lives
Experience the variety of scenery Rockefeller State Park Preserve has to offer in this 5-mile hike from Rockwood Hall to Eagle Hill and back, guided by historian Mike Miernik. Enjoy multiple different views of the Hudson River, the park’s famous triple-arch bridge, and more. You will hike at a steady pace; bring water and wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. Leashed dogs are welcome.
This hike is at Rockwood Hall, DO NOT go to the main Preserve entrance. Hike begins and ends at the Rockwood Hall parking lot. The parking lot is on Kendal Way off route 117, just after the intersection of Phelps Hospital and Regeneron. If the lot is full, you may park in the Phelps garage.
