Hike with Mike: “Know Your Limits” Part 3

July 30, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

$3
A carriage road winds through the landscape of Rockefeller State Park Preserve.

Get to know your pace and preferred distance in this series of three hikes in Rockefeller State Park Preserve, taking place over three months and guided by Mike Miernik.

Our second hike will move at a brisk, steady pace covering about 4-5 miles. This is a great opportunity for individuals to try out their hiking legs on carriage roads before tackling more difficult terrain. We’ll talk about maps, reading the landscape, and trail courtesy. Future excursions will be hikes that move more briskly, take more time, and cover more distance.

Meet in the Rockefeller State Park Preserve Visitor’s Center courtyard. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes. Leashed dogs are welcome.

The hike will continue in light rain; however, in the event of heavy rain, the hike will be canceled. You will be notified via email the day before.
