Death by Chocolate Tea & Tour

September 27 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
$80

Sinfully sweet, deliciously dark. Death by Chocolate is an immersive tea experience inspired by the shadowy side of chocolate’s history — true tales of crime, scandal, and unexpected twists, all tied to the world’s most irresistible indulgence.

The afternoon begins with an hour-long tour of Lyndhurst Mansion, after which the group adjourns to the Carriage House for the tea. There, a rich selection of handcrafted chocolate desserts and confections is served alongside black and herbal teas from the Puddings and Biscakes collection, while stories from chocolate’s surprising and sometimes sinister past unfold. Seating is community-style, though guests who book together will be seated together — making it just as easy to come solo as with a group.

The experience is led by Bridget Bray, a curator of events centered on food, heritage, and history, founder of Puddings and Biscakes, and a board member of the Culinary Historians of New York.
