Visit Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown
Where the Legend Lives
Join naturalist Joshua DiPaola on a reptile and amphibian walk around the Swan Lake area. Learn more about the unique evolution of reptiles and amphibians as you observe them in their natural habitats. Get a close-up look at some turtle shells and taxidermy and learn more about how the staff monitor the turtle populations at the Preserve.
Meet in the Visitor’s Center courtyard and bring binoculars if you have them. Suitable for all ages.
There’s something for everyone in Sleepy Hollow Country—farmers markets, live music, street fairs, historic homes, hiking trails, kayaking and boating on the Hudson River. Halloween season brings even more for the whole family—haunted hayrides, blazing pumpkins, costumed 10K run, Halloween parade, and of course, the Headless Horseman!
