Myths & Mysteries of The Octagon House

October 24, 2024 @ 11:30 am - 5:00 pm
$29
The Armour-Stiner Octagon House in Irvington is decorated with pumpkins for the fall season.

18 miles north of New York City, high on a bank along The Hudson River sits The Armour-Stiner (Octagon) House. Built in 1860, this enigmatic, eight-sided, domed landmark is the pride of the Village of Irvington, in the heart of Sleepy Hollow Country. During the month of October, The Octagon House celebrates the Halloween season with a special ‘Myths and Mysteries’ tour.

Journey back through the history of The Octagon House to unravel the myths that have developed around the mysterious and unexplained events of the past. Visitors will learn about the unusual lives of the residents who walked these halls, its architectural connections to 19th-century spiritualism, and the uncanny experiences people have had here. With its one-of-a-kind architecture and larger-than-life history, The Octagon House is the perfect addition to your October adventures in the Hudson Valley.

Recommended for ages 12 and older. Timed entry varies by day.

The Octagon House is very much a private family home. Access to the house and grounds is available ONLY to ticket holders during the time and date assigned.
