SUMMARY:The Legend of Sleepy Hollow - a Radio Play
DESCRIPTION:The Legend of Sleepy Hollow – a Radio Play is an adaptation of Washington’s Irving classic work. Eight actors perform almost every word of the original short story\, and also work as foley (sound effects) artists. Live music performed by Blake Rowe helps to set the scene. The “live studio audience” will be transported back to 1790 Dutch New York\, where witchcraft is real… and a headless Hessian rider menaces poor Ichabod Crane. \nThe performance takes place in the chapel of the beautiful and historic Scarborough Presbyterian Church\, which was funded by Elliot Fitch Shepard and Margaret Louisa Vanderbilt and dedicated in 1895. \nWill Ichabod’s intellect and standing as Sleepy Hollow’s school teacher be enough for him to charm the lovely (and rich) Katrina van Tassel\, or will his rival Brom Bones win her heart? Come and find out! \n2024 Dates: Friday\, October 25th\, 7:30 pm; Saturday\, October 26th\, 2 pm and 7:30 pm; Sunday\, October 27th\, 2 pm.
