A new look at sheep shearing on the farm, an adult, small-group experience.
Join Stone Barns staff at the farm as sheep are shorn for the season during this socially distanced event. You will explore the ecological, culinary and aesthetic roles of sheep in agriculture and cuisine across Stone Barns. Spring Festival Box Lunch and Sweet Treats by Blue Hill at Stone Barns included in ticket price.
Through either a culinary arts or a fiber arts track, guests will engage in demonstrations and discussions with farmers, chefs and artisans.
All attendees will begin the day with an introduction to Stone Barns Center Livestock, Meat Processing and Fiber Arts initiatives followed by a conversation on the spring ecology of sheep and wool with Sheep Shearer Aaron Loux and the Stone Barns livestock team.
