SUMMARY:Tarrytown Halloween Parade
DESCRIPTION:Parking in the Villages of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow will be extremely limited on the night of the Halloween Parade due to road closures. The Halloween Parade urges you to use Metro-North Railroad to Tarrytown Station or Westchester County buses instead. \n\n \nWhen & Where\n \nDate: Saturday\, October 24\, 2026\nStep-off time: 5 pm\nStarting location: Patriots Park\, Route 9\, Tarrytown\, NY 10591\n \nThe annual Village of Tarrytown Halloween Parade steps off from Patriots Park at 5 pm and winds south along Broadway to Main Street\, where the real party begins with DJs\, live music\, outdoor dining\, performers\, and more. Block party runs to 10 pm.\n \nHow to Participate\n \nViewing along the parade route is free. Want to march? Groups and floats can enter with a theme for a chance to win prizes. Registration is required to be eligible — register here.\n \nA Legendary Starting Point\n \nFun fact: Patriots Park\, where the parade begins\, was once the historic location of Wiley’s Swamp — the spot in “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” where Ichabod Crane first encounters the Headless Horseman.\n \nIn the dark shadow of the grove\, on the margin of the brook\, [Ichabod] beheld something huge\, misshapen and towering. It stirred not\, but seemed gathered up in the gloom\, like some gigantic monster ready to spring upon the traveler… He appeared to be a horseman of large dimensions\, and mounted on a black horse of powerful frame. — The Legend of Sleepy Hollow\n\n\n \nNeed to Know\n \nWhere: Patriots Park\, Route 9\, Tarrytown\, NY 10591\nDate: Saturday\, October 24\, 2026\, 5 pm\nInfo: Village of Tarrytown Recreation Department\, 914-631-8347\, tarrytownhalloweenparade.com
