SUMMARY:Macbeth
DESCRIPTION:Anywhere Theatre Company presents a new vision of Macbeth: a demon-haunted world where Shakespeare’s Scottish king brings forth ancient forces that are terrifyingly real. As Macbeth descends into madness\, the supernatural is no longer a metaphor – it is an ever-present force feeding his corruption. \nHe wanted a kingdom. He awakened something else. \nFeaturing an all-female cast\, and staged inside Makers Central – the rugged Sleepy Hollow country warehouse dedicated to the creation of extraordinary craftsmanship – this immersive production transforms the space into a place of ritual and horror. This Macbeth is relentless in its terror\, cinematic in its atmosphere\, and asks one chilling question: how much of your soul would you sacrifice for power? \nInfluenced as much by horror movies as Shakespearean text\, this is a perfect Macbeth for Halloween in Sleepy Hollow Country! \n$50 General Admission (every ticket includes a free wine or soft drink!)

SUMMARY:Cemetery Song
DESCRIPTION:Three figures stand in the lamplit darkness\, their voices rising: an old woman\, bent but strong and steel-eyed; a woman in the prime of life – a leader\, a creator\, a mother; and a young girl\, full of curiosity and intelligence. Their song is haunting but joyful. As they sing\, others begin to emerge from behind the gravestones\, their bodies moving in fluid\, graceful motions that evoke both the beauty and the pain of life and death. Welcome to Cemetery Song! \nCemetery Song is a joyous celebration of Life and Death and the place of the cemetery in our lives.  A unique combination of music\, song\, poetry\, spoken word and dance\, Cemetery Song features Westchester artists\, musicians\, actors and dancers\, mixing songs and poems about death and mourning\, birth and celebration to create startling and unforgettable ideas and breathtaking images. \nCemetery Song evokes the vibrancy of life and the fleeting nature of mortality\, all at once. How? \nTHROUGH SONG: Cemetery Song will feature original songs by singer/songwriters Emma Freeman\, Jonah Scott\, Sierra Scott\, Judy Kass and The Sweet Vermouths and others! \nTHROUGH DANCE: Cemetery Song will feature performers from Rivertown Dance Academy. \nTHROUGH POETRY AND SPOKEN WORD: Cemetery Song will feature a troupe of professional actors bringing poetry\, scenes and spoken word to life for our audiences. \nAnywhere Theatre Company is working with the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery to bring to life (and death!) this vivid mixture of the best of Westchester culture! Cemetery Song is a celebration of Life in all its aspects\, from beginning to end! \nPlease note this is a seated performance\, not a walking tour. The event will be held outdoors\, weather permitting\, but indoors in the case of rain.
