SUMMARY:The Grass Roots & The Association
DESCRIPTION:Stars of the 60s return to Tarrytown Music Hall – it’s like two concerts in one night with two of the biggest hit-makers from the greatest era of American music ever! In the entire history of rock and roll\, only 9 bands have had more hits on Billboard’s Hot 100 than The Grass Roots. They charted 29 singles\, 13 of which went gold followed by 2 gold albums and 1 platinum album.  For almost 50 years they have been one of the most recognized groups on Classic Rock stations across the country with over 20 million records sold worldwide.  Hits include “Midnight Confessions\,” “Temptation Eyes\,” “I’d Wait a Million Years\,” “Live for Today\,” “Sooner or Later\,” and dozens more. Joining them will be The Association who have sold over 80 million records\, tapes\, CDs and DVDs\, earning 6 gold and 3 platinum discs along with 7 Grammy Award nominations. “Windy\,” “Cherish\,” “Along Comes Mary\,” “Never My Love” and “Everything That Touches You” receive almost as much airplay today as they ever have\, and on Sunday\, October 1st\, you’ll get to hear them all live. Don’t miss this one-night-only reunion! \nThe nation was still recovering from the McCarthy era and the Cold War was heating up. Peter Yarrow\, Noel (Paul) Stookey and Mary Travers came together to reclaim folk’s potency as a social\, cultural and political force.  The Trio lived their songs. They sang at the 1963 March on Washington where Dr. Martin Luther King gave his “I Have a Dream” speech\, they participated in the Selma to Montgomery March\, they sang at countless anti-Vietnam War rallies and they launched decades of musical activism.  These individual and collective efforts addressed a wide range of issues from women’s rights\, to farm-worker rights to the environment\, education and issues of gun violence. No American folk group lasted longer or amassed a more loyal following than Peter\, Paul and Mary. During their legendary career\, the trio won five Grammy’s\, produced 13 top 40 hits of which six ascended into the top 10\, and earned eight gold and five platinum albums.

SUMMARY:Octagon House Myths and Mysteries Tour
DESCRIPTION:18 miles north of New York City\, high on a bank along The Hudson River sits The Armour-Stiner (Octagon) House. Built in 1860\, this enigmatic\, eight-sided\, domed landmark is the pride of the Village of Irvington\, in the heart of Sleepy Hollow Country. During the month of October\, The Octagon House celebrates the Halloween season with a special ‘Myths and Mysteries’ tour. \nFor years\, local rumors have swirled around The Octagon House\, implying its connection to the spirit world. Join them as they delve into the myths and mysteries of the house—from its unique dome shape resembling an ancient Roman temple\, to its octagonal floor plan rooted in 19th century Phrenology\, to speculations of a resident ghost\, you’ll hear stories from the current owners who have described their experiences of the house as something otherworldly. Come hear tales of the unexplained and uncanny events that have occurred in this magical house while experiencing the delight of this meticulously restored architectural wonder. \nThe Octagon House is very much a private family home. SUMMARY:Ghost Tours of Tarrytown Music Hall
DESCRIPTION:Join this guided tour created by Master Storyteller Jonathan Kruk\, and discover the historic lore and spirits that linger here at Tarrytown Music Hall. \nThe Tarrytown Music Hall was built in 1885 during the Millionaire’s Colony Era when mansions dotted the Hudson Valley landscape and families such as the Rockefellers\, Goulds and Vanderbilts gathered at the Music Hall to participate in its lavish balls\, flower shows and concerts. Since then\, the Music Hall has been a reflection of the human spirit\, mirroring the current events of the town and the rest of the world. In addition to Presidents’ speeches\, it has hosted women’s suffrage rallies and endured several wars\, depressions and pandemics including those of 1918 and 2019. It is a vessel through which many people pass. And some don’t leave . . . \nThe building is an official site of the Haunted History Trail of New York. Gotham Paranormal Research Society has investigated the Music Hall several times and has consistently detected paranormal activity including intriguing EVP (electronic voice phenomena) audio files and EMF (electromagnetic field) readings. \nThe Music Hall has great respect and reverence for its spirits and invites you to join in learning and discovering more about them. \nOnline sales only or during box office hours – the box office will not be open during or prior to the tours.
