SUMMARY:Molly Tuttle
DESCRIPTION:Molly Tuttle is a Grammy-winning singer\, songwriter\, and virtuosic guitarist whose innovative blend of bluegrass\, Americana\, pop\, and rock has made her one of the most dynamic artists in modern roots music. A highly decorated artist\, Tuttle has been nominated for 5 GRAMMY Awards (including in the Best New Artist category) and earned back-to-back GRAMMY wins for Best Bluegrass Album with her band Golden Highway—Crooked Tree (2022) and City of Gold (2023)—becoming the first artist in the category’s history to do so. SUMMARY:The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze
DESCRIPTION:More than 7\,000 hand-carved jack o’lanterns light up the riverside grounds of Van Cortlandt Manor.\nTen acres of an 18th-century estate above the Hudson become a half-mile walk past life-sized dinosaurs\, a working carousel\, a planetarium built entirely of glowing gourds\, and the Headless Horseman riding out of the dark. \nArches\, tunnels\, and clearings open up where the pumpkins climb well above head height\, all of it lit in sequence and scored to an original soundtrack\, so the light moves with the music and the walk keeps reintroducing itself around each bend. \nNew for 2026: a longer path with more displays than any previous season\, movie-monster photo ops\, storybook characters carved to look like they’ve stepped off the page\, and a full pumpkin dance party. \nSpooky\, not scary. No jump scares\, no actors chasing you — it works as well for a six-year-old as for the friend who claims they’ve outgrown Halloween. \nTwo ticketed add-ons let you step off the trail midway: the Gourd & Goblet Tavern\, inside the manor’s 18th-century brick tavern\, and the Headless Horseman’s Hideaway\, a pop-up lounge with visits from the Horseman himself. Both must be booked in advance. \nAdvance tickets only — nothing is sold at the gate\, and dates sell out. FLEX tickets get you in on any open night\, even when the calendar is full. \n2026 dates: Select dates\, September 18-November 8. Open every night in October. Entry times vary by date.

SUMMARY:Sleepy Hollow Cemetery Lantern Tour
DESCRIPTION:Step back in time and explore Sleepy Hollow Cemetery by kerosene lantern light. This two-hour evening walk is the perfect introduction to why these storied grounds are so famous—an atmospheric journey through history under the glow of flickering flame. \nYour guide leads you past the resting places of titans of industry like Andrew Carnegie and William Rockefeller\, and you’ll meet Washington Irving\, whose famous short story gave our village its very name. Along the way\, you’ll visit two-term Chicago Mayor Walter Gurnee\, hear about the figures vital to the success of Wells Fargo and American Express\, and take in the cemetery’s beautiful art\, architecture\, and fascinating symbolism—all illuminated by lantern light. \nIt’s a memorable way to experience Sleepy Hollow after dark\, steeped in the atmosphere that has made this cemetery legendary. \nLocation: Sleepy Hollow Cemetery\, North Gate — 540 North Broadway\nParking: Free parking is available inside the gate. Gates open approximately 30 minutes before start time.\nWhat to expect: This is a two-hour walk covering more than a mile over unpaved roads\, hills\, and stairs—some visitors find the pace challenging\, especially in the dark. Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended. Please note the tour begins at the North Gate\, not the South Gate that map apps often show as the main entrance. Tours run rain or shine. \nNote: The Classic Daytime Tour follows this same route with the same content—it simply starts in a different location. Advance tickets required. All proceeds support the preservation of the cemetery grounds through the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery Historic Fund\, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. \n\nOther Ways to Explore Sleepy Hollow Cemetery \nPrefer daylight\, or looking for a different angle on these historic grounds? Consider these companion experiences: \n\nClassic Daytime Tour — The very same route and stories as the Lantern Tour\, walked by daylight—ideal if you’d like to see more of the landscape.\nThe Original Knickerbocker Tour — A one-hour daytime walk focused on Washington Irving\, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow\,” and why he’s called the Original Knickerbocker.\nSeptember & October Special Events — Seasonal tours and programs that lean into Sleepy Hollow’s legendary autumn spirit.\n\nSee all Sleepy Hollow Cemetery tours →

The special won the Interrobangs’s 2023 Comedy Special of the Year as voted on by fans. Her previous special\, Bothering Jesus\, released on NETFLIX\, became the highest selling album and most played comedy album on streaming services since 2015. This April\, Madigan filmed her highly anticipated 7th stand-up special at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee\, WI. SUMMARY:J.W. Ocker Book Talk: 'Chasing the Headless Horseman' at Lyndhurst
DESCRIPTION:Just in time for Halloween\, Lyndhurst welcomes back Edgar Award–winning author J.W. Ocker for a talk on his new book — a preview before its official September 29 release. \nChasing the Headless Horseman: The History\, Hijinks\, and Halloweens of the Real Sleepy Hollow investigates the town that inspired Washington Irving’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” Blending travelogue\, cultural criticism\, and behind-the-scenes reporting\, Ocker digs into the tensions between tourism and tradition\, profit and preservation\, fiction and fact — telling the story of how one small town reinvented itself as America’s Halloween capital\, complete with statues\, street signs\, and an 18-foot Headless Horseman. For readers who loved what A Season with the Witch did for Salem\, this does the same for Sleepy Hollow. \nOcker’s other books include A Season with the Witch\, Twelve Nights at Rotter House\, The United States of Cryptids\, and The New York Grimpendium. He’ll be available to sign and sell books after the talk. \nKnow before you go: \n\nGeneral admission $10 + service fees; talk runs about one hour\nNot recommended for children under 12\nThis ticket does not include mansion access\nArrive 15 minutes early; check in at the ADA-accessible Welcome Center\nTickets are non-refundable; the talk may sell out\n\nWhy this is a must for Sleepy Hollow visitors: This is the definitive behind-the-scenes look at your own backyard — the real town behind the legend\, told by one of the sharpest writers working in the macabre. Come for the talk\, then go see it for yourself: the Horseman statue\, the Old Dutch Church\, and the haunts that made Sleepy Hollow America’s Halloween capital. \nWant more? On October 10\, Ocker returns for an evening panel at Tarrytown Music Hall with four Horseman-inspired novelists — and every $35 ticket includes a signed hardcover. See the Music Hall panel →

SUMMARY:Live Talks NY presents Ke Huy Quan
DESCRIPTION:Ke Huy Quan in conversation with Juju Chang\, Emmy® Award-winning co-anchor of ABC News’ Nightline\, discussing his memoir\, Never Say Die\n\nSeats in the Orchestra include a signed book.\n\nThe Oscar-winning star of Everything Everywhere All at Once\, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom\, and The Goonies tells the story of his journey from Vietnamese refugee to 80s child star to the most inspiring comeback in Hollywood history. \nKe Huy Quan is an Oscar-winning actor who immigrated to the United States as a child and grew up in Los Angeles. Discovered at an open casting call with no acting experience\, he was cast at age 12 as Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom\, followed by his role as Data in the beloved adventure classic\, Goonies. He studied at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts\, graduating in 1999\, and later worked behind the scenes as an action choreographer and assistant director. After more than two decades away from acting\, he returned to the screen in Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert’s Academy Award–winning Everything Everywhere All At Once\, earning widespread acclaim along with the Academy Award\, Golden Globe\, and SAG Award for Best Supporting Actor. He has since appeared in Season 2 of the Disney+ series Loki\, starred in Universal’s Love Hurts\, and voiced Gary De’ Snake in Disney’s animated film Zootopia 2. \nKe Huy Quan’s Hollywood adventure began when he was twelve years old\, a mere five years after his family escaped Communist Northern Vietnam and settled down to a relatively peaceful life in L.A.’s Chinatown. After attending an open call audition on a whim\, he was unexpectedly swept up in the wild world of filmmaking: learning to swim from Harrison Ford on the set of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom\, receiving trucks full of toys from Steven Spielberg and George Lucas for his birthday\, meeting Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker\, and making lifelong friends on the set of The Goonies. \nHe eventually left acting to work odd jobs behind the scenes for directors like Wong Kar Wai. His confidence was badly shaken\, but his love of performing never abated. It wasn’t until decades later\, when he was 49 years old\, that he stepped back in front of the camera to star in a strange little indie film called Everything Everywhere All at Once\, which surprised everyone with its incredible box-office and awards season success. \nIn this moving\, inspirational memoir\, Ke paints a vivid self-portrait\, telling both heart-wrenching and funny stories of his early rise\, slow fall from the spotlight\, the resilience that kept him going through his darkest times\, and his eventual resurrection on one of the biggest stages in Hollywood. Never Say Die is the story of Ke’s extraordinary life\, a love letter to the movies and people that shaped him\, and a powerful testament to never giving up on your dreams. \nLive Talks NY is produced by Los Angeles based Live Talks Productions which has curated the Live Talks Los Angeles series for the last 16 years featuring over 600 conversations with writers\, actors\, musicians\, humorists\, artists\, chefs\, scientists and thought leaders in business.

SUMMARY:Irvington Farmers Market
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy live music\, river views and a laid-back setting at this small-town Sunday market showcasing the best of what the Hudson Valley has to offer. In season\, there’s fresh local produce\, seafood and meats\, cheese\, pickles\, prepared foods and baked goods\, with live music most weeks. \nThe Irvington Farmers Market runs Sunday mornings outdoors on the grounds of the Main Street School\, a short stroll from Washington Irving’s home\, Sunnyside. Look for the life-sized statue of Irving’s character Rip Van Winkle at the southwestern corner of the school property\, facing Main Street. The market sits right on the leafy Old Croton Aqueduct Trail and is an easy walk from the Irvington Metro-North station\, so many shoppers arrive on foot or by bike — see Sleepy Hollow Without a Car for train details. \nRun by Morning Glory Markets\, the outdoor season runs Sundays from spring through late fall. A separate winter market operates indoors on Saturdays in the off-season; check the organizer’s site for this year’s exact dates. \nGetting there: Sunday parking is available on the village streets and in the municipal lot at the top of Main Street. Avoid the permit-only lot across from the Main Street School. \nSundays\, 9 am to 1:30 pm\, rain or shine. Well-behaved dogs are welcome\, provided your pooch is leashed. \nPlanning a fall visit? The Irvington market is the Sunday counterpart to Saturday’s TaSH market in Tarrytown — see how it anchors a low-key morning in A Perfect Fall Day in Sleepy Hollow.

SUMMARY:Tarrytown Lighthouse in Sleepy Hollow Tours
DESCRIPTION:Step inside one of the Hudson River’s most beloved landmarks. Join a 45-minute interpreter-led tour of the Tarrytown Lighthouse in Sleepy Hollow and discover the story of this 1883 cast-iron “sparkplug” light — from its years guiding steamships past dangerous shoals to the keepers and families who once called its five-story tower home. \nNow restored to its historic appearance and listed on the National Register of Historic Places\, the lighthouse sits at the water’s edge in Kingsland Point Park\, reached by a scenic 10-minute stroll from either inside Kingsland Point Park or from the RiverWalk entrance at the foot of Beekman Avenue. \nTours are free; reservations are required and parking fees may apply. Please note: the lighthouse is accessed by four narrow stairways\, there are no restrooms inside (restrooms are available in the park)\, and the front gate locks 15 minutes after the tour begins. Tours run rain or shine.

SUMMARY:‘Dark Genius of Wall Street’
DESCRIPTION:You’ve heard the name\, but do you know the full story of the Gilded Age’s most notorious financier — the man who once owned Lyndhurst itself? Join author Edward J. Renehan Jr. for a talk on Dark Genius of Wall Street: The Misunderstood Life of Jay Gould\, King of the Robber Barons\, held in the very mansion Gould called home. \nA favorite resource of Lyndhurst’s own staff\, Renehan’s biography goes behind the newspaper headlines to reveal a more complicated Gould: the ruthless financier\, yes\, but also the entrepreneurial teenager\, loving father\, loyal friend\, and devoted husband. Widely recognized as the most accurate and readable account of his life\, the book has drawn praise from the New York Times\, Publishers Weekly\, the Washington Post\, and Barron’s\, which called it a fresh\, evocative take on the Gilded Age and its brutal brand of business. \nThe book talk and author meet & greet begin at 3 PM\, followed by a reception with light refreshments at 4 PM. \nKnow before you go: \n\nGeneral admission $15 + service fees; includes a landscape tour and the book talk\nRecommended for ages 12 and up\nThis ticket does not include mansion access\nThe landscape tour crosses uneven ground — comfortable shoes encouraged\nArrive 15 minutes early; check in at the ADA-accessible Welcome Center\nTickets are non-refundable; the talk does sell out\nFor group or special-needs reservations\, call 914-303-6844 in advance\n\nWhy this is a must for Sleepy Hollow visitors: There’s no better place to hear Jay Gould’s story than inside the Gothic Revival mansion he bought as his country home. Pair the talk with a fall day on the Lyndhurst estate and explore more of what’s happening across Sleepy Hollow this season.
