SUMMARY:TaSH Farmers Market
DESCRIPTION:Stop by TaSH — the Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Farmers Market — for fresh Hudson Valley produce\, meat\, bread\, cut flowers\, dairy\, preserves\, wine and beer. There are weekly live music performances\, children’s activities\, chef demos\, and ongoing educational programs\, plus weekly free samplings. Well-behaved dogs are welcome\, provided your pooch is leashed. \nTaSH is set in historic Patriots Park\, on Route 9 straddling the villages of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow\, next to the Warner Library. Run by the nonprofit Rivertowns Village Green\, it’s one of the region’s most celebrated markets\, with 50-plus vendors sourced from the Hudson Valley and food-access programs that make it welcoming to everyone. \nThe market is an easy walk from the Tarrytown Metro-North station and sits near the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail\, so a car-free visit is realistic — see Sleepy Hollow Without a Car for train details. \nGetting there: Free parking is available across the street at the John Paulding School. For GPS\, use the library address\, 121 North Broadway\, Tarrytown\, NY 10591. \nSaturdays\, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm\, rain or shine — Memorial Day weekend through the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Check the organizer’s site for this year’s exact opening and closing dates and any special Mother’s Day or holiday markets. \nPlanning a fall visit? TaSH is the Saturday counterpart to Sunday’s Irvington market\, and it’s a great low-key start to a fall day — see how it anchors a slow morning in A Perfect Fall Day in Sleepy Hollow.

DESCRIPTION:Soak up the beauty of this 177-year old cemetery while your guide regales you with stories of the fascinating people resting here in peace. \nThis two-hour daytime walk is the perfect way “to have a colloquy among the tombs” as Washington Irving\, famous author of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”\, did himself back in 1849. \nYou’ll pay homage to the great author\, stop by some of the most interesting monuments in the old section before heading north to visit the final resting places of two-term Chicago Mayor Walter Gurnee\, steel titan Andrew Carnegie\, oilman William Rockefeller\, two people vital to the success of Wells Fargo and American Express\, and much more. Admire beautiful art\, architecture and cool cemetery symbolism along the way. This tour gives a great overview of why Sleepy Hollow Cemetery is so famous. \nPlease note that the Classic Daytime Tour is the same route as the Classic Evening Lantern tour. The content is exactly the same – it just starts in a different location. \nDates: Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. through September. SUMMARY:Irvington Farmers Market
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy live music\, river views and a laid-back setting at this small-town Sunday market showcasing the best of what the Hudson Valley has to offer. In season\, there’s fresh local produce\, seafood and meats\, cheese\, pickles\, prepared foods and baked goods\, with live music most weeks. \nThe Irvington Farmers Market runs Sunday mornings outdoors on the grounds of the Main Street School\, a short stroll from Washington Irving’s home\, Sunnyside. Look for the life-sized statue of Irving’s character Rip Van Winkle at the southwestern corner of the school property\, facing Main Street. The market sits right on the leafy Old Croton Aqueduct Trail and is an easy walk from the Irvington Metro-North station\, so many shoppers arrive on foot or by bike — see Sleepy Hollow Without a Car for train details. \nRun by Morning Glory Markets\, the outdoor season runs Sundays from spring through late fall. A separate winter market operates indoors on Saturdays in the off-season; check the organizer’s site for this year’s exact dates. \nGetting there: Sunday parking is available on the village streets and in the municipal lot at the top of Main Street. Avoid the permit-only lot across from the Main Street School. \nSundays\, 9 am to 1:30 pm\, rain or shine. Well-behaved dogs are welcome\, provided your pooch is leashed. \nPlanning a fall visit? The Irvington market is the Sunday counterpart to Saturday’s TaSH market in Tarrytown — see how it anchors a low-key morning in A Perfect Fall Day in Sleepy Hollow.

SUMMARY:Watchhouse - The Ritual Tour
DESCRIPTION:Watchhouse\, the North Carolina based duo of Andrew Marlin & Emily Frantz\, have announced a new studio album called Rituals\, due out May 30\, 2025 via Tiptoe Tiger Music / Thirty Tigers. The collection marks the pair’s first release of all new\, original songs since their 2021 self-titled album\, which earned praise from Rolling Stone (“pristine acoustic picking collides with hazy\, dream-like psychedelia”) Mojo\, NPR Music\, American Songwriter and more. \nStarting over a decade ago playing coffee shops and local restaurants around North Carolina\, Watchhouse is a grassroots success story that’s been driven by Marlin’s poignant songwriting. With sold-out shows at legendary venues like Red Rocks and the Ryman Auditorium\, and hundreds of millions of streams\, they’ve earned a reputation for creating music that “redefines roots music for a younger generation” (Washington Post). The duo – now with a family of their own – are two singers and musicians with profound chemistry\, performing earnest yet masterfully crafted songs that encompass the unknowable mysteries\, existential heartbreak\, and communal joys of modern life. The forthcoming album is no exception.

SUMMARY:Movies on the Lawn: The Goonies

Rated PG. \nPart of Tarrytown House Estate’s Movies on the Lawn series\, held on the estate grounds above the Hudson. Screenings begin around sunset. Check the estate’s series page for what to bring\, food and drink service\, and the rain plan.
