SUMMARY:An Evening with Cowboy Junkies
DESCRIPTION:In 1988\, Cowboy Junkies proved that there was an audience waiting for something quiet\, beautiful and reflective. The Trinity Session was like a whisper that cut through the noise — and it was compelling. It stood out in the midst of the flash and bombast that came to define the late 80’s. \nThe now classic recording combined folk\, blues and rock in a way that had never been heard before and went on to sell more than a million copies. Formed in Toronto in 1985 with siblings Michael Timmins on guitar\, Margo Timmins on vocals\, Peter Timmins on drums\, and Michael’s lifelong friend Alan Anton on bass\, the band has sparkled over the course of 26 albums. “I’ve known Alan longer than I’ve known Pete\,” says Michael. “We were friends before Pete was born.” \nUnlike most long-lasting groups\, Cowboy Junkies have never had a break up or taken a sanity-saving hiatus. There’s an appreciation of each other that keeps them constantly working. “It’s that intimacy and understanding of what each one of us brings to the table\,” says Michael.

SUMMARY:Morgan Wade - Crossing State Lines Acoustic Tour
DESCRIPTION:Morgan Wade has never sounded like anybody else\, and for a long time\, she thought that meant her songs were just for her. “Honestly\, I think that was really good for me\,” she says. “It made me think\, ‘Alright\, well\, I’m not going to sing for anybody else––but I’m singing for myself.’” \nSince then\, Wade has figured out that when you grow up in Floyd\, Virginia\, where bluegrass sustains everyone like the Blue Ridge Mountain air but you hear other sounds like pop and punk in your own head\, singing for yourself is the way to become the artist you were always meant to be. \nProduced by Sadler Vaden––Jason Isbell’s longtime guitarist and an acclaimed solo artist in his own right––Wade’s full-length debut Reckless is a confident rock-and-roll record that introduces a young singer-songwriter who is embracing her strengths and quirks as she continues to ask questions about who she is––and who she wants to be. Her voice\, a raspy soprano that can soothe liltingly or growl\, is on brilliant display. “I feel like the last couple of years have been me trying to figure out where I fit in\, who I fit in with\, and what’s going on\,” Wade says. “I’m almost four years sober\, so a lot of the friends I had\, I don’t really hang out with anymore. When I wrote these songs\, I was going through a lot\, just trying to figure out who I am.”

SUMMARY:Lyndhurst Tours
DESCRIPTION:Lyndhurst\, one of America’s finest Gothic Revival mansions\, overlooks the Hudson River in Tarrytown\, NY. The estate was shaped for more than a century by three families and their staff: The Pauldings\, The Merritts\, and the Goulds. Their influence is evident in the expansion of the main house from a country villa to a Gothic mansion\, the park-like design of the grounds\, and the rich furnishings and decorations inside. \nTours begin in April on Saturdays and Sundays\, expand to Thursday through Monday in May\, and Thursday through Tuesday in July. In late September\, the mansion transforms for the Halloween season with special collections and decorations out on display. The site closes in November as the mansion changes to the splendor of the Holiday season and re-opens the Friday after Thanksgiving for tours\, which run until the end of December. \n\nClassic Mansion Tour: Great for first-time visitors. Your visit covers the two main floors of the house.\nUpstairs/Downstairs Tour: Covers the main floors of the mansion with the addition of the backstairs and service spaces.\nInside/Outside Tour: Covers the main floors of the mansion\, then progresses through recently restored “outdoor rooms” in the rockeries\, rare trees\, gardens and outbuildings.\nLyndhurst Ramble Tour: In celebration of the Hudson River Valley Ramble\, a two- walking tour of the historic estate.\nDaily Grounds Pass: Enjoy the landscape; no tour\, no entry to mansion.\n\nLocation: Lyndhurst is a 67-acre estate\, with 15 individual buildings. All tour ticket holders should check in at the Carriage House Welcome Center\, where all tours begin. The Welcome Center is only open on days that tours are running. Parking is available on-site in designated areas. Please refer to their website for up-to-date information on events\, tour schedules\, closures\, and guidelines about visiting.

SUMMARY:The Lone Bellow Trio
DESCRIPTION:Throughout their lifespan as a band\, The Lone Bellow have cast an indelible spell with their finespun songs of hard truth and unexpected beauty\, frequently delivered in hypnotic three-part harmony. In a departure from their past work with elite producers like Aaron Dessner of The National and eight-time Grammy-winner Dave Cobb\, the Nashville-based trio struck out on their own for their new album Love Songs for Losers\, dreaming up a singular sound encompassing everything from arena-ready rock anthems to the gorgeously sprawling Americana tunes the band refers to as “little redneck symphonies.” Recorded at the possibly haunted former home of the legendary Roy Orbison\, the result is an intimate meditation on the pain and joy and ineffable wonder of being human\, at turns heartbreaking\, irreverent\, and sublimely transcendent. \n\nThe Lone Bellow\, the triumph of completing their first self-produced album marks the start of a thrilling new chapter in the band’s journey. “At the outset it was scary to take away the safety net of working with a big-name producer and lean on each other instead\,” says Pipkin. “It took an incredible amount of trust\, but in the end it was so exciting to see each other rise to new heights.” And with the release of Love Songs for Losers\, the trio feel newly emboldened to create without limits. “This album confirmed that we still have beauty to create and put out into the world\, and that we’re still having fun doing that after ten years together\,” says Elmquist. “It reminded us of our passion for pushing ourselves out onto the limb and letting our minds wander into new places\, and it sets me on fire to think of what we might make next.”
