It’s that time of year again! Each holiday season the Makers Central studio transforms into one giant artisanal walking market. It’s very rare that they invite the public into the workshop, but when they do, they make sure it’s worth it!
Normally, the maker members are heads down focused on designing beautifully handcrafted custom goods…much of the time for some of the world’s most renowned chefs and restaurants.
During this open studio weekend, you’ll have the opportunity to peruse unique collections of handmade ceramic, paper, wood, concrete, steel, fabric and floral creations. Not only that, you’ll get to learn about the kilns, printing presses, forges, and lathes that are used each day to craft these beautiful works of functional art right here in Tarrytown.
While you’re here, sample beer or bourbon from favorite local breweries and distilleries. Each of the two market dates will feature fellow makers who focus on the more drinkable and edible crafts. From beer to bread, coffee to bourbon, there’s lots to explore and taste!
