SUMMARY:Classic Daytime Cemetery Tour
DESCRIPTION:Soak up the beauty of this 174-year old cemetery while your guide regales you with stories of the fascinating people resting here in peace. \nThis two-hour daytime walk is the perfect way “to have a colloquy among the tombs” as Washington Irving\, famous author of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”\, did himself back in 1849. \nYou’ll pay homage to the great author\, stop by some of the most interesting monuments in the old section before heading north to visit the final resting places of two-term Chicago Mayor Walter Gurnee\, steel titan Andrew Carnegie\, oilman William Rockefeller\, two people vital to the success of Wells Fargo and American Express\, and much more. Admire beautiful art\, architecture and cool cemetery symbolism along the way.  This tour gives a great overview of why Sleepy Hollow Cemetery is so famous. \nPlease note that the Classic Daytime Tour is the same route as the Classic Evening Lantern tour. The content is exactly the same – it just starts in a different location. \nDates: Every Saturday and Sunday 2:00 – 4:00 p.m in September. In October and November also 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon through Thanksgiving weekend.

SUMMARY:Local Lore and Legends
DESCRIPTION:While Sleepy Hollow is well known for its headless horseman\, there are quite a few lesser-known legends that take place on this land. The names of some of our most iconic locations such as Spook Rock\, Ravens Rock\, Witch’s Spring come from stories that have been told by locals dating back hundreds of years. Join Rockefeller State Park Preserve for a 2-mile twilight hike to visit some of these locations and hear their stories. Join Ranger Su (tonight as “Major Su”) for a 2-mile twilight hike to visit some of these locations and hear their stories. \nThe hike will begin at 25 Sleepy Hollow Rd\, Sleepy Hollow\, NY 10591. Do NOT go to the main park entrance.

SUMMARY:Ghost Tours of Tarrytown Music Hall
DESCRIPTION:Join this guided tour created by Master Storyteller Jonathan Kruk\, and discover the historic lore and spirits that linger here at Tarrytown Music Hall. \nThe Tarrytown Music Hall was built in 1885 during the Millionaire’s Colony Era when mansions dotted the Hudson Valley landscape and families such as the Rockefellers\, Goulds and Vanderbilts gathered at the Music Hall to participate in its lavish balls\, flower shows and concerts. Since then\, the Music Hall has been a reflection of the human spirit\, mirroring the current events of the town and the rest of the world. In addition to Presidents’ speeches\, it has hosted women’s suffrage rallies and endured several wars\, depressions and pandemics including those of 1918 and 2019. It is a vessel through which many people pass. And some don’t leave . . . \nThe building is an official site of the Haunted History Trail of New York. Gotham Paranormal Research Society has investigated the Music Hall several times and has consistently detected paranormal activity including intriguing EVP (electronic voice phenomena) audio files and EMF (electromagnetic field) readings. \nThe Music Hall has great respect and reverence for its spirits and invites you to join in learning and discovering more about them. \nOnline sales only or during box office hours – the box office will not be open during or prior to the tours.
