SUMMARY:TRIBE: Solace of RED
DESCRIPTION:The 2024 Culpeper Summer Performance Series finale will feature multidisciplinary artists’ collective TRIBE presenting works in progress from their performance art residency incubator Solace of RED. Led by award-winning movement artist\, choreographer\, creator\, curator\, and artistic director Shamel Pitts\, Solace of RED intertwines different art languages to create one live performance experience. \nSolace of RED is a project of cultivating space to create a platform for TRIBE artists’ singular works. This residency provides an opportunity for each artist to express their own voice while finding solace in sharing the weight of the creative practice alongside one another. TRIBE aims to extend this project to a multitude of artists working in various mediums and from a variety of locations.
