SUMMARY:Paul Winter's Winter Solstice Celebration
DESCRIPTION:The Paul Winter Consort\, with beloved vocalist Theresa Thomason\, brings the timeless music of their legendary New York solstice events\, in a joyous and profound celebration of the season of renewal and the greater family of life on Earth. \nFor the past 44 years\, Paul Winter and his Consort have been artists-in-residence at the world’s largest cathedral\, New York’s St John the Divine\, where they have presented over 200 unique events\, including annual Winter and Summer Solstice Celebrations. The Winter Solstice Celebration grew to become New York’s favorite holiday alternative to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and the Nutcracker. \nIn contrast to their large-scale productions at the Cathedral\, this performance will be more intimate. Winter notes\, “While we will not have the dancers and theatrical effects that were possible in the world’s largest Cathedral\, we will have the essence of our Solstice music\, and we will feature\, as always\, the beloved voice of Theresa Thomason\, who has been the ‘star’ of our Solstice Celebrations for over 25 years.” \nCentral to all the traditions of Solstice is the renewal of spirit\, symbolized by the rebirth of the sun. Winter Solstice is a time for healing and for hope. It is a time to celebrate community and relatedness\, and to honor the diversity and the unity of this great cornucopia of life on Earth. Says Winter\, “In remembering the Solstice\, we resonate once again with the rhythm of the cosmos and allow our hearts to embrace the optimism of our ancient knowledge that the light will overcome the darkness.” \nThe Consort includes Paul Winter on soprano sax\, cellist Eugene Friesen\, Brazilian pianist Henrique Eisenmann\, Bulgarian bassist Peter Slavov\, percussionist Bertram Lehmann\, and the voice of Theresa Thomason.

SUMMARY:Kristina Marinova: The Bus Came By And I Got On
DESCRIPTION:Kristina Marinova\, a classically trained European pianist\, captures the sonic tapestry of the Grateful Dead’s music spanning from their inception in 1966 to their award winning and critically acclaimed three album Live European Tour in 1972 with THE BUS CAME BY AND I GOT ON from Navona Records. \nThe Grateful Dead\, known for their eclectic style which fused elements of rock\, folk\, country\, jazz\, bluegrass\, blues\, rock and roll\, gospel\, reggae\, world music\, and psychedelia presents a unique challenge for an artist raised on Bach\, Rachmaninoff\, Mozart\, and Scriabin. The intricate interweaving of Jerry Garcia’s expressive lead guitar work along with Phil Lesh’s unique and innovative bass lines melded with Bob Weir’s unconventional rhythms (not to mention the Band’s vocal harmonies) made for an attempt at capturing the “true sound” of the Grateful Dead on a sole piano\, demanding and impossibly complicated. Nevertheless\, the bus came by and\, undaunted\, Marinova got on.

SUMMARY:Gregorian: Pure Chants World Tour
DESCRIPTION:Gregorian: Pure Chants World Tour Featuring songs by Enigma\nFor 25 years\, GREGORIAN have thrilled millions of people worldwide with their choreographed shows and their ability to switch seamless from classical chorales to pop and rock songs. Their concerts have set new standards.\nWith over 2\,000 shows in 36 countries and more than 11 million albums sold\, GREGORIAN are the most successful choir in the world. In Spring 2026\, GREGORIAN will continue with their PURE CHANTS World Tour in the USA. \nFrank Peterson\, the creator and producer of GREGORIAN says: “Our Pure Chants concerts bring the most popular GREGORIAN classics in an atmospheric and tranquil sound environment. Pure Chants concerts are extremely peaceful\, yet spectacular and unite the audience with the most beautiful melodies in the world.” \nThe idea for GREGORIAN was born when Frank Peterson visited the royal monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial in Spain in 1989. Wandering through the medieval monastery and castle complex and listening to contemporary music on his Walkman\, he found the inspiration for the sound experiment of mixing ancient Gregorian music with modern music. \nPeterson first realized his idea with Michael Cretu and the worldwide sound phenomenon “Enigma”. Their first album “MCMXC a.D.” was released in 1990 and quickly became a worldwide success. “MCMXC a.D.” was number 1 in 41 different countries and went 57 times platinum and 45 times gold. It is considered as the most successful German album of all time worldwide. \nThis gigantic success paved the way for GREGORIAN to take the musical idea one step further and to establish it as an independent music act. In 1999\, with the start of production on the first album “Masters Of Chant”\, Frank Peterson seamlessly built on the success of “Enigma”. \nIn the following years\, GREGORIAN has sold over 11 million CDs an DVDs worldwide and achieved gold and platinum status in 24 different countries.

SUMMARY:I'm With Her
DESCRIPTION:With the 2014 formation of I’m With Her\, singer/songwriters Sarah Jarosz\, Aoife O’Donovan\, and Sara Watkins introduced an essential new force into the world of folk music: a close-knit alliance of highly esteemed musicians\, each graced with a deep understanding of folk tradition and unbridled passion for expanding its possibilities. Since delivering their critically lauded debut See You Around and standalone singles like “Call My Name” (winner of the 2020 Grammy for Best American Roots Song)\, the trio have routinely taken time out from their individual careers to dream up songs together—eventually arriving at a new album exploring themes of ancestry\, lineage\, and the collective human experience. On their long-awaited sophomore LP Wild and Clear and Blue\, I’m With Her now bring their luminous harmonies to a soul-searching body of work about reaching into the past\, navigating a chaotic present\, and bravely moving forward into the unknown. \nIn a departure from the stripped-back intimacy of See You Around—a 2018 release that turned up on \nbest-of-the-year lists from the likes of the New York Times—Wild and Clear and Blue centers on a far more elaborate sound informed by the trio’s intensified sense of musical kinship. All multi-Grammy-winners with deep roots in the folk scene\, Watkins\, Jarosz\, and O’Donovan first discovered their near-telepathic chemistry during an impromptu performance at the 2014 Telluride Bluegrass Festival\, then co-founded I’m With Her and began touring extensively and performing at acclaimed festivals across the globe.

SUMMARY:An Evening with Chris Thile
DESCRIPTION:Acclaimed Grammy Award-winning mandolinist\, singer\, songwriter\, composer\, and MacArthur Fellow recipient of the prestigious “Genius Grant”\, Chris Thile is a multifaceted musical talent\, described by The Guardian as “that rare being: an all-round musician\,” and hailed by NPR as a “genre-defying musical genius.” Thile is a founding member of the highly influential string bands Punch Brothers and Nickel Creek\, and has collaborated with countless luminaries from Yo-Yo Ma to Fiona Apple to Brad Mehldau. \nFor four years\, Thile hosted public radio favorite Live from Here with Chris Thile (formerly known as A Prairie Home Companion). With his broad outlook\, Thile creates a distinctly American canon and a new musical aesthetic for performers and audiences alike\, giving the listener “one joyous arc\, with the linear melody and vertical harmony blurring into a single web of gossamer beauty” (New York Times). Over the last year\, Thile has been touring with Nickel Creek in support of the critically acclaimed 2023 release Celebrants\, and captivating audiences with a playfully ambitious biographical composition entitled ATTENTION! (a narrative song cycle for extroverted mandolinist and orchestra). \nThe wide-ranging program of Thile’s 2025-2026 solo performances will feature selections from his acclaimed solo recordings of Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas – including the upcoming second volume out this autumn – alongside his signature mix of classical\, folk and improvisational brilliance.

SUMMARY:Graham Nash - Live on Tour 2026
DESCRIPTION:Graham Nash will perform a career-spanning retrospective of his six decades of contributions to contemporary music. Joined by Todd Caldwell (keyboards)\, Adam Minkoff (bass\, drums\, guitar\, and vocals)\, and Zack Djanikian (guitar\, bass\, drums\, and vocals)\, Nash will take the audience on a musical journey that encompasses his years with The Hollies\, CSN\, CSNY\, and his beloved solo efforts. \nNash is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee\, with Crosby\, Stills\, and Nash\, and with the Hollies. He was also inducted twice into the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame\, as a solo artist and with CSN\, and he is a GRAMMY Award winner. \nTowering above virtually everything that Graham Nash has accomplished in his multi-faceted career stands the litany of songs that he has written and introduced to the soundtrack of the past half-century. His remarkable body of work\, beginning with his contributions to the Hollies opus\, including “On a Carousel” and “Carrie Anne\,” continues all the way to Now (2023)\, his most recent solo album. \nThe original classic union of Crosby\, Stills & Nash (& Young) lasted but twenty months. Yet their songs are lightning rods embedded in our DNA\, starting with Nash’s “Marrakesh Express\,” and “Lady of the Island\,” from the first Crosby\, Stills & Nash LP (1969)\, and “Teach Your Children” and “Our House” on CSNY’s Déjà Vu (1970). \nNash’s solo career debuted with Songs For Beginners (1971)\, which included “Chicago/We Can Change the World” and “Military Madness” and others. In addition to his string of solo albums\, he has performed and recorded with David Crosby as Crosby/Nash. Their eponymously titled Graham Nash/David Crosby (1972) is bookended by Nash’s “Southbound Train” and “Immigration Man”.

SUMMARY:GENIUS: String Quintet in C major\, Franz Schubert
DESCRIPTION:American Classical Orchestra \nGENIUS: String Quintet in C major\, Franz Schubert \nSchubert’s brilliant String Quintet in C major\, the composer’s final instrumental work\, was completed just two months before his death at the age of thirty-one\, when—despite failing health——the composer was at the height of his musical powers. Ignored at the time\, the Quintet is now widely hailed as not only the composer’s finest chamber piece\, but one of the greatest pieces of chamber music of all time. \nAmong other qualities\, the work is notable for its instrumentation. Instead of bringing in a second viola\, a more conventional choice for the era’s string quintets\, Schubert uses a second cello. This imbues the Quintet with rare\, lower-register richness and depth on which he builds surprising key changes\, innovative harmonic developments and gorgeous melodic lines that effect searing\, almost painful\, beauty that bespeaks the composer’s genius. \nGiven the timing of completion\, one wonders if Schubert sensed he might not live to hear the work publicly performed. When Schubert submitted it to his publisher\, along with three piano sonatas\, his tone was deferential. Please let me know\, he wrote\, if “any of these works commend themselves to you.” Sadly the Quintet in C major did not. His publisher responded only with requests for more of the Lieder and piano music Schubert was better known for. After his death\, Schubert’s final chamber work would bounce between publishers before a first public performance in 1850 (twenty-two years after his death) and its publication three years later. Only over time would his Quintet in C major be recognized as a masterpiece.

SUMMARY:The Man in Black - A Tribute to Johnny Cash
DESCRIPTION:With his strikingly similar looks\, baritone voice\, and spot-on mannerisms\, Shawn Barker has an uncanny resemblance to the original “Man In Black”. Delivering a truly one-of-a-kind show\, Barker revitalises the true character and spirit of Mr. Cash himself\, one of America’s greatest musical icons. The energetic performance features Barker in character throughout the entire evening\, walking the audience through each era of Cash’s life and music\, including hits like “Folsom Prison Blues\,” “I Walk The Line\,” “A Boy Named Sue\,” “Hurt” and “Ring of Fire\,” complete with a full backing band. \nShawn Barker has been performing internationally as The Man In Black for over two decades and has performed thousands of shows\, selling more than one million tickets over the course of his career. Born and raised in a working-class suburb of St. Louis\, Barker took a schoolboy love for singing in church with his family and turned it into a career. The path to his current success wasn’t a straight line from gospel choir to Johnny Cash tribute act. After serving his country in the Army\, Barker returned home to Missouri\, took a job as a carpenter\, and spent all of his free time learning how to play the guitar. \nHe developed strength and versatility in his voice by modeling his crooning on a cast of legends – Johnny Cash\, Elvis Presley\, Roy Orbison\, Buddy Holly and Gene Vincent. His performances quickly turned from hobby to profession\, but oddly enough\, Barker’s first touring gigs were portraying Elvis\, not Johnny Cash. Everything changed\, however\, when Barker was asked to audition for the part of Cash in a Hollywood production\, as it became evident to the director and Barker himself that Johnny Cash was his true calling. From that point there was no turning back. The Man In Black has become the best Johnny Cash Tribute act in the world\, with many productions and brands commissioning Barker and his baritone voice for radio\, TV\, and voiceover productions\, to include Barker being featured in a national ad campaign for Coca-Cola.
