SUMMARY:Classic Film: Nosferatu Reinvented
DESCRIPTION:“Nosferatu Reinvented” is a new kind of entertainment\, a synthesis of contemporary music and robotic technology\, performed by an ensemble of kinetic sculptures rolled into a multi-media theatrical experience. Created by Broadway violinist and inventor Kurt Coble from Mamaroneck\, this innovative crowd pleaser has mystified audiences from Burbank to Belgrade. \nNosferatu: A Symphony of Horror (German: Nosferatu – Eine Symphonie des Grauens) is a 1922 silent German Expressionist vampire film directed by F. W. Murnau and starring Max Schreck as Count Orlok\, a vampire who preys on the wife (Greta Schröder) of his estate agent (Gustav von Wangenheim) and brings the plague to their town. \n“[The late composer Earle] Brown’s spirit lives on in the wonderful\, room-size “robot jukebox” – a kind of musical Rube Goldberg contraption that plays a pre-programmed concert on wacky mechanized instruments by the artist\, musician and composer Kurt Coble.” -Helen A. Harrison (New York Times)
