22 years ago the members of the punk rock band the Ramones were buried—alive—in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. It was a frigid night in January 1989 when the band filmed the music video for their musical tribute to Stephen King’s novel Pet Sematary. As part of the act, the band performed in an open grave. Three of the four bandmates have since passed away: Joey is interred at Hillside Cemetery in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, Dee Dee is at Hollywood Forever in Los Angeles, and a memorial to Johnny is also in Hollywood Forever. Marky Ramone remains very much alive.
